About Me

Have you ever watched The Nanny Diaries? Do you remember the part at the beginning when Scarlett Johansson's character is at that job interview and she's asked, "Who is Annie Braddock?" and then she can't come up with a response so she freaks out and runs out of the interview? That's what I feel like right now. Except there's nowhere for me to run to because I'm going to have to tell you who I am eventually.

I asked some of my friends to tell me who they think I am, I mean, who knows you better than your best friends, right? So, here are their responses:

"You're wonderful. :) You like Glee, sports, reading, stuff, and... I don't know." - Lauren

"You are an adventurous spirit who lives for the enjoyment and spontaneity of things. You are creative and have the imagination of a seven year old. You see all the beauties in life. Probably one of the most proudly South African people I know. You are funny as fuck and you know it and you know that other people know it too, as much as they don't want to admit it. You're more sensitive than you come across as. I mean, after all, under your hard exterior, you're a teenage girl who probably still plays with Barbies. You love to live and live to love. You love to plan random shit instead of doing your homework. You allow people to take control of you too easily to get a sense of approval from them. You get too paranoid. You lack self confidence and sometimes you see more beauty in others than in yourself. You don't always show your emotions and I assume from that that you keep a lot of things inside. You don't stand up for yourself enough. You really want to please people. You don't focus enough on school and you procrastinate like a motherfucker (I will say that it's gotten better) (those were her words, not mine). You don't watch Grey's Anatomy. You cling onto things. Oh, and if Glee were a person, you'd fuck them." - Khanyi

"Lara! Fuck man! I don't know who you are! You're funny. You're sensitive. You can be a bitch. You're insecure. You spell really good (well). You're lazy. You're a procrastinator. You're an independent black woman who don't need no man! You're a chav. You're not girly.  You may not even be Asian. You have nice curly hair. You smell weird. You have small feet. And 10 fingers. You're a hypocrite. You have a lot of secrets. You cover everything up with humour. You have nice eyes. You do not have any diseases. You are anti-hipster. You're short. You try to be badass, but you're shit scared of everything. You're a pushover. You look too deeply into too many things. Your dad's name is Wayne. You get easily pissed off. You quote movies a lot. You like people who look like surfers. You like adventure. You cry about silly things. Your phone is stupid. You're about as crazy as your mom. You're weird. You're not Mel B and this is not a scary world. YOU DON'T EVEN GO HERE!" - Jhayde

"I see you as a strong and supportive person who goes out of her way completely to stand by her friends and does whatever possible to make her friends happy. You strive for the best in life. You work towards what you want and never give up. You are a happy, bubbly person 24/7. You can make a room full of people laugh. You can party hard, hahaha, and you are loving, caring, outgoing, but you're also kind of quiet in your own special way. And you're a procrastinator." - Emily (click on Emily's name and visit her blog)

"Our Lara. Witty. Dangerously hilarious. The greatest friend and a beautiful believer in the goodness of others, and of life. She even supports the extreme acts of rebellion such as the famous Dine and Dash. And you don't have the confidence in your... Amazingness. For lack of a better word. I'm tired okay! Thank you for everything, my Lala. I hope you continue to live your life so vivaciously." - Nicole (click on Nicole's name and visit her blog)

"Lara Unsworth... Who is she, you ask? Well, some may see her as a washed dying carrot (I don't really know what that means but, after all, it is EarthChild so I'm just rolling with it), but her hair colour is sort of what Lara is... Confusing. It's, like, not orange, but it is, and it's not blonde, but it is? She is full of life, fiery like the thousands of auburn strands in her hair, she has a zest for life and a constant longing of discovering more weird people in the world to join her in her quest for life. She's energetic and enthusiastic and constantly repeats the same stories in the same voice, yet somehow it's still entertaining? She's cool and has aspiring dreams that won't disappoint the stars, she has idols and is constantly looking for ways to improve herself and inspire those around her. She's quirky, cool, and has a dry sense of humour. Although she's short, her personality is larger than life and fills the room, and she may seem lost with her big blue eyes and always on some kind of annoying mission. But this is Lara, a dying carrot full of life and zest which would make a lemon jealous... And that's why all us beets want to be around her." - Claudia

"Lara Unsworth... Ninja by day, ninja *assassin* by night, chav glamour-queen, lover of Whitney Houston, pretty spankin' on a motorbike, international woman of mystery, and giggler-extraordinaire. This girl has a heart of gold, and a head of copper. She's ANNOYINGLY optimistic, and she has a joke for everything. The only time she never made any jokes ever, was when she was practically dying of a hangover. She may or may not be related to Jenna Marbles, all we know is that she's way better, and she's here to blow your fucking mind." - Bu (click on Bu's name and visit her blog)

So, who is Lara Unsworth?

She likes writing, but she doesn't do it often enough. She's a procrastinator. She wants to get married at or just after sunrise (although she has a feeling that most of her friends will refuse to wake up that early). She already has her children's names picked out. She prefers motorbikes to cars. She likes food. A lot. She wants to be a writer. She should probably exercise more. Her favourite superhero is Spider-Man. She wishes she was Emma Stone. She's proudly South African. She wants to leave a legacy. She tends to get too attached to people. She reads into situations too much and she takes things too personally. She wants to make an impact. She really does love Glee as much as everyone says she does. She is happiest when she's making other people happy. Music can hugely affect her mood. She wants to live her life in such a way so that when the time comes to die, all that she has left to do is die. Other than that, she's pretty clueless.

Oh, and she's worried that you probably saw how long this page was and chose not to read it.
